Blogging use for Large Lectures

I looked at student participation to team debates over a 5 year period. With participation dwindling, I investigated other means to have students participate in a large lecture hall. Over the past 6 months, the participation in Blogging was far superior to the dwindling debate technique. Statistics are being kept to continue with this question. Future work will involve the use of "clickers" to see if I can get even more enthusiasm.
