On Wednesday, August 26th, at 11:00 AM, the Fall semester CSC Help Desk is operational. Teaching assistants maintain a help desk in MSC 292 to support students in courses taught by the Department of Computing Sciences. These assistants focus on programming and basic system issues. Each of the assistants can help with Java programming. In addition, most of the assistants can help with C programming or Discrete Structures.
Help is provided on a first come-first serve basis. Students seeking help should be sure to bring everything they can to make their help session productive, for example their textbook, an assignment handout, and/or a printout of their program. These assistants have been instructed to help students learn. Although they will provide assistance with problems they will not solve the problems for the students - they will help the students discover the solution.
