Science / Math Requirements for CSC Majors

Computer Science majors are required to take a two-semester science sequence with the appropriate laboratories. Any of the following sequences can be used to fulfill this requirement.

Notes:

The following mathematics courses are required:

MAT 1500 Calculus I 4 credits
MAT 1505 Calculus II 4 credits
TBD Statistics for Computing 3 credits

In addition to the five courses described above (the science sequence and the three mathematics courses), a CSC major must take at least two more Mathematics/Science courses totaling at least seven credits. Any mathematics course with substantive quantitative content and any science course meeting the restrictions above can be used by CSC majors for this requirement.
